The torment and discomfort that women have historically endured to become the ultimate object of desire is an alluring and mysterious practice that is today prevalent in an extraordinarily wide variety of social circles and classes.

For some it forms part of a self expression or self stimulation but for many it is a means of being what is today considered normal. The procurement of the perfect body or look comes in many guises from body shaping corsetry to stiletto shoes (a sexually charged object in itself) and to the radical procedure of bodily augmentation.

Though one will wonder why eastern women go through the pain of leg lengthening and western women gather for home Botox parties, it does prove there is an insatiable desire to be desirable however hideous the outcome may be.

The object of desire focuses on the sexualized female form, emptied of its body and freed from the pain.
