The Lander Chair

2002

The Lander C-type Chair, is a low recline lounge chair covered in a titanium coated neoprene suit. Its inspiration comes from a combination of nature and man made inspired forms including the manta shark and 60's motor cars. The chairs elegant appearance hides many years of design work and engineering research required to complete this inspiring piece of furniture.

The designer insists that he’s only happy with a design when every detail is perfectly resolved and when every component is rationalised down to it’s minimum material requirement.

The Lander C-Type

A beautifully simple lounge chair that took 5 years to make and only two were ever made, the C-Type and the N-Type.
